Regulatory Compliance – Temporary Road Signals and Mobile Equipment
In accordance with the Order of 6 November 1992, published in the Journal Officiel on 3 January 1993, the following applies:
Article 2:
Approval of the updated requirements set forth in Book 1 of the Interministerial Instructions on Road Signals, under Part 8 – Temporary Signals.
Article 122C – Part 8e: Mobile Equipment
Mobile equipment operating on public roadways constitutes a potential obstacle and must be made clearly visible.
All vehicles regularly used for roadway operations must comply with the Order of 20 January 1987, which defines signaling standards.
Requirements from the Order of 20 January 1987:
Minimum total reflective surface area per vehicle: 0.80 m²
Distribution:
• Front: 0.16 m²
• Rear: 0.32 m²
• Left + Right Sides: 0.32 m²
All compliant markings are homologated by DSCR and identified by the TPESC number printed on each white reflective stripe.
